Understanding your invoice
Each consultation has a Dutch healthcare performance code. The code depends on the type and duration of the consultation, the professional providing care and the care setting. CO0627, for example, is a 60-minute treatment consultation by a GZ psychologist.
The official setting for this practice is “ambulant – kwaliteitsstatuut sectie II”. The practitioner is a gezondheidszorgpsycholoog (GZ psychologist, Dutch BIG Act article 3). Consultations are divided into diagnostics and treatment.
Diagnostics
Intake sessions are billed as diagnostics. They are used to collect the information needed to prepare a treatment plan. Usually one to four sessions are used, depending on the situation.
